Jane Leavy

Jane Leavy is an award-winning author, best known for her biographies of two of baseball’s greats – “Sandy Koufax: A Lefty’s Legacy” and “The Last Boy: Mickey Mantle and the End of America’s Childhood.” She also wrote a novel about a woman covering the major league baseball beat entitled “Squeeze Play.” She worked at The Washington Post from 1979 to 1988, first covering sports before transitioning to the style section. Leavy has also written for Grantland.com, The New York Times, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated.
