Kojo Nnamdi

WAMU-FM and WHUR-TV Radio/Television Commentator

Kojo Nnamdi is a radio host working for WAMU-FM and WHUR-TV. He currently hosts The Kojo Nnamdi Show, The Politics Hour and the Evening Exchange. Born in Guyana, Nnamdi moved to the United States in 1967, starting his career in broadcast at WHUR-FM in 1973 as a news editor. Evening Exchange has run since 1985. Nnamdi was selected as the Library of Congress keynote speaker for African American History month in 2003 in addition to being honored as a civil rights hero by the National Council for Community Justice in 2001. In 2005, he was named a “Washingtonian of the Year” by Washingtonian magazine.
