Leonard Downie, Jr. is the Vice President-At-Large of The Washington Post. He was Executive Editor of the Post from 1991 to 2008, and in total worked in the newsroom for 44 years. The Post won a record 25 Pulitzer Prizes under his tenure as Executive Editor, including three Pulitzer Gold Medals for Public Service. Downie is also the Weil Family Professor of Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Downie has also authored four books.
