Lynn Povich

Lynn Povich is the daughter of Shirley Povich and an award-winning journalist and author. She began her career at Newsweek, and was one of 46 women to sue the magazine in 1970 for sex discrimination. In 1975, she was appointed the first female Senior Editor in Newsweek’s history. Povich became editor-in-chief of Working Woman in 1991, and joined MSNBC.com in 1996 as East Coast Managing Editor. In 2012, Povich published “The Good Girls Revolt” about the Newsweek lawsuit.
