  • Layoffs and salary reductions are part of Oregon State athletics’ budget cutbacks for the 2020-21 school year as the school battles a significant revenue shortfall because of the coronavirus pandemic. But the budget knife is cutting deep elsewhere, such as travel expenses, including one long-standing staple: the Friday night hotel for the football team and staff prior to Saturday home games, The Oregonian reports.
  • Colin Kaepernick is joining the board of Medium and launching a new interview series for the site with athletes and activists, tentatively called “Conversations with Colin.”
