Here’s a recap of the latest sports news:

  • Le Anne Schreiber, who was the first female sports editor at a major American daily newspaper (New York Times in 1978), passed away Friday at the age of 73, USA Today reports.
  • It was the game the Raptors had to have and they did everything possible to make sure it happened. The 123-109 final was as dominant a win as we have seen in the series thus far and it earned the Raptors a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals, writes the Toronto Sun‘s Mike Ganter.
  • “When I went on this diet it’s like a sense of control, and it’s confidence because you feel like you’re conquering something.” ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne on how a crash diet changed Draymond Green’s mindset.
  • Bad news for Rafael Nadal’s opponents: He’s taken one of the best parts of his game (his return) and made it even better, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The Daily Roundup will return June 12.
