The Povich Center Looks Back on a Year of “The Undefeated”
COLLEGE PARK, MD. — The Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism will host Kevin Merida for “The Undefeated: One Year and Counting” on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Eaton Theater of Knight Hall on the University of Maryland campus.
About a year ago Merida was at Merrill College discussing what The Undefeated would look like and he’s back to discuss the past, present and future of the site focused on race, culture and sports.
George Solomon, Director of the Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism, will moderate the discussion. There will be an audience Q&A as well.
“The addition of the “The Undefeated” is clearly one of the most innovative additions to the field of sports journalism in years. And Kevin Merida, as its editor, is one of the most innovative people in our business. His site is must reading.”
